Vincent Darby

Vincent Darby interview on Colourful Radio 12-July-2020

Rising Soul Singer Vincent Darby has unveiled his brand new single, ‘Still Here We Are’.

Produced in Shaggy’s Big Yard Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, ‘Still Here We Are’ deploys a chilled, downbeat production that allows Vincent’s flawless vocal prowess to take centre stage. He says,” ‘Still Here We Are’ came from a place of not quite understanding the ‘situation-ship’ that I was in; a story about how something can be so good, but also so bad,”.

The single follows a recent performance for the BBC Radio 1 ‘Big Weekender’ virtual event, with Darby’s stock continuing to rise. Having had the continued support of BBC Introducing, his previous release ‘Baby Oh I’ was spun on BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio 1 after being selected as their ‘Track of the Week’.

A graduate of the acclaimed Birmingham Ormiston Academy, Vincent Darby has been singing regularly from the age of five. He then performed at Birmingham’s O2 Academy in support of Flo Rida, after a record producer watched a video of him performing ‘Fallin’ by Alicia Keys on YouTube. Last year, Vincent released his debut 3-track EP, ‘Baby Oh I’.

‘Still Here We Are’ sees the Birmingham artist flex his superb vocal talents to the full. With plenty to come from the soul singer, Vincent Darby is an artist to watch.
