Robinson began his musical career as a drummer in a school band and showed signs from a very early on of his intense musical talent. Robinson is a rare blend of an entertainer, songwriter, music producer, and invigorating performer. He has released over ten albums, each of which displays his immense talent and have helped him to top the reggae music charts throughout his career as an artist. As a producer, he has worked with some of the industryâs most well-known voices, including Dennis Brown, Richie Stephens, Buju Banton, Luciano, Maxi Priest, Super Cat, Snoop Dogg, and many others. Ed Robinsonâs ability to seamlessly transition across various parts of the industry makes him an exceptional person to work with, listen to, and watch perform. With over 200 songs and twelve albums in his catalog, Robinson has emerged as one of the most highly sought-after reggae artists in the industry. He debuted his first album on the VP Records Label titled, âOnce Againâ in 1992 with the seminal âKnocking on Heavenâs Door.â He later signed a record deal with MCA Records in the early nineties. Following his deal with MCA Records, Robinson later released both âSky is the Limitâ in 2004 and âSolitudeâ in 2005 which included both classic tracks, âNo More Mr. Lonelyâ and Dennis Brownâs staple âAinât That Lovin You.â In the year 2008, Robinson released the album âThe Awakening,â both written and produced by Jerome Rhodd. Robinson later began working with the Push Broom Gang Label and released âWritten in Stoneâ in 2011. This pivotal album includes major hits such as âOur Heroesâ, âIf I Follow My Heartâ, and âTalking Bluesâ. Robinsonâs track, âOur Heroesâ hit mainstream radio stations, and satellite radio stations across the globe, including SiriusXM Radio. âOn Coversâ, an album where Robinson covers some of the music industryâs legends was released in 2014, also on the Pushbroom Gang Label. Both âWritten in Stoneâ and âOn Coversâ were produced by Luciana Maneri. In the year 2014, Ed Robinson was working concurrently on releasing both âOn Coversâ and the âTribute to John Holtâ, which gave him the chance to pay homage to the late John Holt. This album was produced by Kemar âFlavaâ McGregor. The following year, Robinson released his eighth studio album âYard Magicâ. The hit single, âKool Offâ sat at the top spot in the New York and Florida album charts in late 2015. Following this success, Ed Robinson released several tracks in 2016, including âThinking of Youâ on the VPAL label and âThe Blame Gameâ on the Pushbroom Gang label. In 2017, he produced a Dennis Brown tribute EP containing seven tracks. In addition, he recorded a track entitled “Baby I Will Be There” on Di Jugglin Vol 1 Various Artist Album for JTMC Muzik Label. In 2018, Robinson released âGlory and Praiseâ a stunning gospel album. Presently in 2019, he recorded two singles – one song on the Hush Riddim for JTMC Muzik label ” Go Live Your Life” and an acoustic version of “Suddenly” with both songs making waves across the world. In addition to his brilliant catalogue of albums and singles, Ed Robinson has displayed an exceptional talent for performing and capturing the heart and soul of the music he sings. He has illustrated a unique ability to connect with his audience through his art.
