Bright Star Awards 2017 – Press Release

The Bright Star Awards for 2017 is approaching. The team are working hard to make this the best ever Bright Star Awards.

Background / Synopsis

Previously known as Sly’s Awards; the Bright Star Awards is an urban music award. It is the brainchild and concept of Sly of Colourful Radio. Each year we are trying to improve engagement so that UK and international artists and the music that we love can get more recognition.

2017

This year the Bright Star Awards presentation will be taking place as a live presentation / show from a location in Central London. Winners will receive an engraved Bright Star Award. In addition the plan is for a worldwide live video stream of the event and simultaneous Outside Broadcast (OB) on Colourful Radio across DAB, web, mobile and all digital platforms of the event and artists receiving their awards.

Current Situation

We are currently finalising the categories, prior to nominations and voting. It is expected that there will be Ten (10) categories.

As you can see from the above list we are current looking for sponsors, partners and affiliates for the above categories.

Timescales

We are looking to confirm sponsors, partners and affiliates by 5pm on Monday 23rd October 2017. If you would like to be part of this exciting Bright Star Awards 2017, please contact Sly directly.
